Printers show more detail per inch than monitors do. A monitor is normally 90 dots per inch while most printers are 300 or 600 dots per inch. This means that images intended for a monitor look blocky or jagged when printed. At TrailHunger.com we provide a printable map which will look great when printed. We use a technique called raster graphics which prints smooth lines at the highest resolution available.
No trail stands alone. They (almost) always link to other trails just like roads link to other roads. Our maps include all the linked trail we know about (and which we don't display on the online trail page).
At each turn we provide a description of the turn, the trails which are linked to it, a small map of the junction itself with the trail you want highlighted. Between every junction we include the distance so you know how far it is and can follow with your own GPS watch.

The common way down from the top of the Grouse Grind is to take the gondola back to the car-park. However, many people want more of a challenge than just going up the Grouse Grind and want a trail to get back down. Downhill travel on the Grouse Grind is prohibited because of the safety of travelling down such a steep trail with so many people coming up. There are many alternative ways of getting down but the most common is to use the BCMC trail. When you buy the Grouse Grind map we give you the BCMC map FREE so that you can safely find it and travel back to the car-park. The BCMC trail is also open in winter when the Grouse Grind is closed.
